Associate Professor of psychology teaches courses on social psychology, personality, human sexuality, human diversity, and women's studies. Her research interests are primarily in sexuality studies generally, and queer studies specifically. B.S., Northwest Missouri State University; M.A., Ph.D., University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Faculty member since 1992. Her most recent publication is a book she co-edited with Jonathan Alexander of the University of Cincinnati. It is entitled Bisexuality and Transgenderism: InterSEXions of the Others and is to be published in 2004 by Haworth Press. Her next book project, also with Alexander, will be on the future of sex. They plan to explore issues such as sex in space, sexual and reproductive technologies, and the global impact of AIDS. She is the faculty sponsor of two student organizations, the LGBT club 1 in 10, and a new feminist organization called VOX (which means voice), which is concerned with issues of reproductive control.
