Thanks to generous donations from numerous benefactors and local media corporations and agencies MCCNM gave away more than $35K in departmental scholarships this year. Awards are announced each spring at a special awards and scholarships luncheon. Application deadline for all scholarships listed below is February 1. The application form used to apply for all of the scholarships listed below can be obtained from the financial aid office on campus or by contacting Sandy Lundahl at the phone/email listed below.

The Ullmann scholarship was initially established by Joseph Ullmann in honor of his late wife Virginia. When Mr. Ullmann passed away in 1998, another gift was given to the department to assist students studying Mass Communications. Typically one or two Ullmann scholarships are reserved for outstanding High School seniors who have applied to CSU-Pueblo and who have declared MCCNM as their intended major. A portfolio of your recent work should accompany your scholarship application.

The Pavlik scholarship is named in honor of the department's founding father, Professor Emeritus Richard Pavlik. No requirements for application. Open to any MCCNM major or minor with special consideration given to either journalism or public relations emphasis area students.
