Outstanding Alum Award

The Outstanding Alum Award is the most prestigious award presented each year by the faculty of the Mass Communications Department and Center for New Media. Only 33 department alums have received the honor out of over 1200 graduates of the program.
Honorees must have accomplished a distinguished career in a mass communications discipline, from the local to national level, with a small or large organization. In most cases, the alum award is presented yearly and the honoree is recognized at the department's annual spring honors and scholarship award luncheon.
