Our primary objective is to offer a professionally oriented program aimed at preparing majors for careers in the mass media and their related agencies.  A major in mass communications leads to degrees of bachelor of arts (BA) and bachelor of science (BS).

A degree from the Mass Communications Department & Center for New Media leads to careers in reporting, editing, broadcast program production, interactive media programming, public relations, and advertising, to name just a few.

1995 grad Mary Ann Roney

Mary Ann (Roney) Chevalier , 1995, is a public affairs specialist for NASA at Kennedy Space Center. Mary Ann is a media coordinator and works at the Press Site.
