ARTICLES WANTED for new magazine on the region of Southern Colorado. Southern Colorado Magazine seeks features of 2000-3000 words involving the area south of Colorado Springs, west of the Kansas border, east of the Great Divide, and north of the New Mexico border. We encourage writers to consider a similar readership, format, and vision comparable to National Geographic, though topics need not be limited to the environment. Full-length features may cover geographical, historical, cultural, recreational, or ethnographic issues that directly affect the region. No poetry or fiction, please. Writers¹ upon-publication payment will vary from $500-800 per piece, dependent upon feature length and the inclusion of photographs.
