Using sacred texts, and other sources, Prat attempts to provide a more readable interpretation of the life of Christ. Prat provides an excellent description of the ancient lands of Nazareth, Galilee, and Jerusalem.

Shadur looks at juvenile literature that dealt with the Holy Land, concentrating mainly on the 19th century period. The text focuses on both travel journals and fictionalized historical plots.
