Patricia (Trish) Orman, Ph.D., is an associate professor of mass communications at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where she also teaches courses in leadership studies and women’s studies. She is academic director for the President’s Leadership Program and a member of the Coordinating Council of the Women’s Studies Program. In addition, she frequently represents the University to the Colorado Campus Compact.
A Maine native, Orman completed her undergraduate degree in English and Sociology at the University of New Hampshire (1971), a master’s in communication and human relations at the University of Northern Colorado in 1976, and a doctorate in educational leadership and innovation at the University of Colorado at Denver in 2002.
Orman taught Mass Communications courses as early as 1975, but didn’t join the full time faculty ranks until Fall 1978. She developed a series of new courses for the Advertising emphasis, a sequence she still oversees today. She chaired the department from 1978 to 1983 and again from 1992-1998. In 2000, while completing her doctorate, Orman joined the President’s Leadership Program as director and instructor. She developed the curriculum for the Leadership Studies minor and has taught Leadership in Service Organizations annually for the past five years.
Dr. Orman’s research and service interests include women’s leadership, diversity, popular culture, and civic engagement, as well as advertising trends. She has served on numerous CSU-Pueblo committees, including Faculty Senate, and supervises student internships and projects throughout the community. In addition to her work with SCPC, she is a member of the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center, and serves on the board of 211 for Southeast Colorado.

STEFFEN, Leticia  (Mass Communications) Community Journalism, gender/social issues in popular culture and parasocial relationships
Steffen joined the CSU-Pueblo faculty in 2004. A native of New Hampton, Iowa, Steffen completed her bachelor’s degree at Saint Louis University with a double major in history and communications. Steffen worked as a correspondent for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Suburban Journals of St. Louis before moving to Colorado to complete a master’s degree in mass communications and journalism studies at the University of Denver. Before moving to Pueblo, Steffen worked as science writer and editor with the University of Denver's communications office, as chief editor of news/entertainment for InfoBeat in Denver, as publications editor at Metropolitan State College of Denver and as a journalism instructor at the Community College of Aurora. Steffen teaches journalism courses in the Department of Mass Communications and Center for New Media and periodically teaches the Gender and Film course in Women’s Studies. Her research interests include community journalism, gender/social issues in popular culture and parasocial relationships.

TRUJILLO, Patricia  (English)
Trujillo received her baccalaureate degree from New Mexico State University, her Master's degree from University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and her PhD from University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Professor Trujillo conducts research and publishes in the fields of Composition and Rhetoric, Chicana/o literature, Women's Studies, and Cultural Geography (literary spatial studies).  She teaches classes on writing, pedagogy, Ethnic and Women's literature. Previously, Trujillo was the Assistant Director of the Women’s Studies Institute at UTSA where she helped coordinate over 200 women-centered events.
