Welcome to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Serving some 2000 students and home to twelve academic majors, twenty minors, and two graduate programs, CHASS is currently the largest and most diversified college at Colorado State University-Pueblo. We offer programs of study that range from liberal arts education to pre-professional career preparation. The college is also home to the majority of courses taught for the general education requirement.
As a community of teachers and learners, we are committed to an education that fosters excellence in communication, critical thinking, aesthetic awareness, personal ethics, and life-long learning. In an increasingly interconnected world, we value the diversity of people, ideas and experiences. Our students learn the skills to be leaders, responsible citizens and successful professionals.
What makes CHASS so special are the people who live, learn, and work here. We offer small classes that provide students with personal attention and learning opportunities that make a difference and change lives. Our professors are engaged with their respective disciplines, participating and contributing to the expansion of human knowledge and ability, but also engaged with their students and the learning process, bringing this knowledge and expertise directly to the classroom. Students are encouraged to get involved outside the classroom through internships, study abroad, and community service. The professional staff is committed to excellence as they provide assistance to students and faculty alike.
Whether you are a prospective or current student, a member of the faculty or staff, or a parent, alumnus, or friend--welcome to the community that is the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
